Layovers
After 24 hours, $60 will be paid for each 24 hours detained.
Loading/Unloading
When a driver is required to hang load/unload carton freight on to or off of a trailer, K&K will pay the driver a minimum of $60 per trailer, of $2.00 per thousand, whichever is greater. If you are unable to acquire a signature verifying loading or unloading, please call your dispatcher for instruction to be paid. An additional $20 is paid for pallet-jack loading and unloading.
Stop Pay
A driver will be paid for multiple stops, if the driver makes more than one pickup or one delivery, at a rate of $40 per stop.
Wages
Excellent starting pay. All waged are based on "PC Miler" (similar to HHMG). Mileage pay will include per diem pay of nine cents ($.09) per mile.
Performance Bonus Plan
Up to 2 cents per mile.
Vacations
K&K provide an employee one (1) week vacation pay after one year continuous employment and two (2) weeks vacation pay, after three years of continuous employment. Vacation Pay is based on a driver’s average miles per week for the last year times their current rate of pay. Vacations must be scheduled with Donny Kemp and are arranged on a "first come, first served" basis.
Orientation Pay
New hires will be reimbursed for attending company orientation at an hourly rate of $10 per hour. That amount will be paid on the employee's first regular payroll check.
Holiday Pay
The following eight holidays will be paid per year at the rate of $100 per holiday.

  • New Years Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • (2) Thanksgiving Day
  • (2) Christmas Day

Drivers must be employed full-time 30 days prior to the schedule holiday to be eligible for holiday pay. Driver must work on a scheduled holidays if necessary, with the exception of Christmas Day. In the event a driver works on a scheduled holiday, he/she will receive holiday pay in addition to his/her regular pay. Drivers must be available for dispatch two days prior to and one day immediately following the scheduled holiday. Holidays included in regularly scheduled vacations will be paid in addition to vacation pay, and time off will be extended the number of holidays. In the event a driver desires to return to work, without taking the extra day(s), he/she will receive regular pay in addition to vacation pay and holiday pay they are normally due.

401 K Retirement Savings Plan
K&K will match 50 cents to the dollar up to 5% of the employee's earnings. Employee may contribute up to 15% of his/her earnings to the plan. There is a one fiscal quarter waiting period before an employee is eligible to participate in the plan and he/she must enroll on the first day of a fiscal quarter.
Christmas Club
Drivers may designate a weekly amount to be deducted from their payroll check and deposited into a person Christmas Club Savings Account. Checks are distributed each November for the total savings plus interest. It is a year round program that allows families to pay cash for holiday expenses.
