FAQ's For Drivers

Evaluation Period
All new employees are placed on a 90-day evaluation period. During the evaluation period, the employee's performance will be monitored and evaluated.
Personal Advances
Drivers may request a personal advance of their payroll up to $125 per week. A transaction fee of $5.00 per advance will be deducted from the driver's next payroll, in addition to all approved person advance amounts.
Physical Exam
The cost of a company physical examination will be covered as follows: If a driver has a valid physical less than six months old, the company will pay the entire cost of a K&K Trucking's required physical exam. If a driver had a valid physical within the past 6 to 18 months, the company will split the cost of a obtaining a new physical with the driver. If no physical is available, or the last valid physical was more than 18 months ago, a new driver will be required to pay the cost of a physical examination. This cost will be deducted from payroll approximately two or three weeks from date of employment.
Drug Screen
Should a driver leave the employment of K&K Trucking, Inc. within the first 90 days of employment, that driver shall be responsible for the cost of the pre-employment drug screen. That cost will be deducted from the employee's final payroll check. However, if a driver remains employed by K&K for a term of more than 90 days, the company will be responsible for the cost of drug screen testing.
Payday
OTR drivers are paid each Thursday for work completed through the previous Saturday at midnight with paperwork submitted properly by Monday. Checks are usually ready at noon each Thursday. Please advise your dispatcher if you want to have your paycheck mailed to your home address. Or, we can leave your check in your box in the driver's room. If you are going to send someone to collect your check for you, please let us know who it will be because we will need to see identification before we can release your check to them.
Transitional Duty
Following a worker's comp injury, when drivers are released by a doctor to light duty, they will be assigned transitional duties at the terminal.
